TAPESTRY WEAVING / DIETER MAMMEL / 2019 / COMMISSIONED WORK:
This tapestry is woven after an artwork of the Berlin based artist Dieter Mammel, featuring a face, and woven in the same size. I obtained the characteristic watercolor optics by mixing different weft materials like wool, linen and cotton in white and cyan hues in different combinations. On the back of this tapestry the long weft yarns hang down, dissolving the drawing of the original artwork.
